These Terms & Conditions have been created to ensure every visitor enjoys a safe, enjoyable and well-organised experience while helping us operate the park fairly and responsibly for everyone.
By making a booking with Battle Park, operated by Axes and Arrows Ltd, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions, the following definitions apply:
Battle Park refers to Battle Park, operated by Axes and Arrows Ltd, together with its employees, instructors and authorised representatives.
Booking means any confirmed reservation made through our online booking system or by any other method authorised by Battle Park.
Visitor means any person entering Battle Park, whether participating in an activity or attending as a spectator.
Participant means any visitor taking part in one or more Battle Park activities.
Supervising Adult means an adult aged 18 years or over who is responsible for the supervision of a child or young person where required by Battle Park. Battle Park define a child as being aged 17 or below.
Activity Area refers to any designated area where activities take place, including but not limited to archery ranges, axe throwing lanes, spear throwing lanes, battle archery arenas, woodland trails and any instructor-controlled safety zones.
2. Bookings
All activities at Battle Park must be booked in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing.
A booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received and a confirmation email has been issued.
Bookings are subject to availability and Battle Park reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking where it is considered necessary for operational, safety or legal reasons.
Where a booking is made on behalf of a group, the person making the booking accepts responsibility for ensuring that every participant has read and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
Participants under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to take part.
3. Payments
Full payment is required at the time of booking.
Battle Park does not accept payment on arrival unless specifically agreed in writing before the date of your visit.
Payments are processed securely through our online booking system using a trusted third-party payment provider. Battle Park does not store or have access to your payment card details.
Prices displayed at the time of booking include all equipment required to participate in the activity unless otherwise stated.
Battle Park reserves the right to amend its prices at any time; however, confirmed bookings will not be affected by future price changes.
4. Gift Vouchers
Battle Park Gift Vouchers may be purchased through our online booking system.
Gift Vouchers may be redeemed against eligible Battle Park activities before their expiry date.
Gift Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated.
Gift Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Where the value of a booking exceeds the value of a Gift Voucher, the remaining balance must be paid at the time of booking.
Where the value of a booking is less than the value of the Gift Voucher, any remaining balance will remain available until the voucher expires.
Battle Park cannot accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged Gift Vouchers.
5. Cancellations, Amendments & Transfers
We understand that plans sometimes change and will always try to assist where reasonably possible.
Requests to cancel, amend or transfer a booking should be made as soon as possible by contacting Battle Park.
The following cancellation policy applies unless otherwise agreed in writing:

14 days or more before your booking: A full refund or free transfer to another available date.
-
7 to 13 days before your booking: One free transfer to another available date or a 50% refund.
-
Less than 7 days before your booking: No refund or transfer.
Transfers are subject to availability and must be booked within a reasonable period agreed with Battle Park.
Only one complimentary transfer will normally be offered for each booking.
Battle Park reserves the right to charge any difference in price where an alternative activity or date is selected.
6. Arrival & Check-in
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled activity.
All visitors should report to the Twisted Oaks Reception Kiosk on arrival, where Battle Park bookings are checked in.
After check-in, visitors will be issued with the appropriate wristbands before following the clearly signposted route to Battle Park.
The walk from the reception kiosk to Battle Park takes approximately five to six minutes and includes natural paths with changes in level.
Please allow sufficient time to complete the check-in process and reach your activity before your scheduled start time.
7. Late Arrivals & No-Shows
Activities begin promptly at the advertised time.
If you arrive late, we will always do our best to accommodate your booking. However, this cannot be guaranteed.
Participants who miss the mandatory safety briefing or arrive after their activity has commenced may be refused participation.
Where participation cannot be accommodated due to late arrival, refunds, vouchers or alternative dates will not normally be offered.
If you fail to attend your booking without prior notice, your booking will be treated as a no-show.
No refunds, vouchers or alternative dates will be provided for no-shows.
8. Participation Requirements
All participants must follow the instructions given by Battle Park instructors at all times.
Before taking part in any activity, participants must attend and listen carefully to the mandatory safety briefing.
Battle Park reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone who fails to comply with safety instructions or whose behaviour may place themselves, other visitors or our staff at risk.
Participants are expected to act responsibly and treat fellow visitors, staff, equipment and the surrounding environment with respect throughout their visit.
Activities involve physical movement and take place in outdoor environments. By taking part, participants acknowledge these inherent characteristics and agree to follow all reasonable safety instructions designed to minimise risk.
9. Age Restrictions & Supervising Adults
The following minimum age requirements apply to Battle Park activities:

The Falconer's Archery Trail 12 years
Crossbow Shooting Experience 16 years
Battle Park reserves the right to request proof of age where there is reasonable doubt that a participant meets the minimum age requirement.
Participants under the age of 18 remain the responsibility of their parent, legal guardian or supervising adult throughout their visit.
For The Falconer's Archery Trail, participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult throughout the activity.
Supervising adults are expected to ensure that children and young people behave responsibly and comply with all instructions given by Battle Park staff.
10. Accessibility
Battle Park aims to make its activities as accessible as reasonably possible while recognising that our site is located within a natural outdoor environment.
Accessibility requirements vary between activities and are described on each individual activity page on our website.
Some activities take place on uneven woodland terrain or require specific physical movements that may affect accessibility for some visitors.
We encourage anyone with accessibility requirements or concerns to contact us before booking. Our team will be happy to discuss individual needs and advise which activities may be most suitable.
Where it is safe and practical to do so, we will always endeavour to make reasonable adjustments to help visitors participate.
11. Health & Medical Conditions
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are fit enough to take part in their chosen activity.
If any participant has a medical condition, injury, disability or other circumstance that could reasonably affect their ability to participate safely, Battle Park must be informed before the activity begins.
Examples include, but are not limited to:

Heart conditions

Epilepsy

Recent surgery or injury
-
Pregnancy
-
Mobility restrictions
-
Conditions affecting balance or coordination
-
Any other medical condition that could impact safe participation
Providing this information allows our instructors to make informed decisions and, where appropriate, discuss suitable adjustments or alternative activities.
Battle Park reserves the right to refuse participation where it is considered that taking part may present an unacceptable risk to the participant or others.
12. Clothing & Footwear
Battle Park is an outdoor activity venue operating throughout the year.
Participants should wear suitable outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather conditions on the day of their visit.
Sturdy, closed-toe footwear must be worn at all times whilst participating in activities.
The following footwear is not permitted:

High heels
-
Flip-flops
-
Sandals
-
Open-toe footwear
-
Any footwear considered unsuitable for outdoor activity
As many activities take place on natural woodland terrain, footwear that provides good ankle support is strongly recommended.
Visitors should also be aware that weather conditions may result in muddy, uneven or slippery ground, particularly on The Falconer's Archery Trail.
Battle Park accepts no responsibility for clothing or footwear that becomes wet, muddy or damaged during normal participation.
13. Safety
Safety is our highest priority.
All Battle Park activities are conducted under the supervision of trained instructors using purpose-designed equipment.
Every participant must attend the mandatory safety briefing before taking part.
Participants must follow all instructions given by instructors at all times.
Safety equipment must be worn where provided and used correctly throughout the activity.
Only authorised participants and instructors are permitted within designated activity areas.
Equipment must only be used for its intended purpose and in accordance with instructor guidance.
Any participant who behaves in a manner that compromises safety may be removed from the activity immediately.
Battle Park instructors have absolute authority on all matters relating to safety.
Their decisions are final.
14. Behaviour
We ask every visitor to help us create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Visitors are expected to behave respectfully towards:

Other visitors

Battle Park staff
-
Instructors
-
Volunteers
-
The surrounding environment
-
Battle Park equipment and facilities
Battle Park reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any visitor whose behaviour is considered unacceptable.
Examples include, but are not limited to:

Abusive, threatening or aggressive behaviour
-
Ignoring instructor instructions
-
Deliberate misuse of equipment
-
Endangering other visitors
-
Vandalism or deliberate damage
-
Behaviour likely to spoil the enjoyment of others
Any visitor removed for behavioural or safety reasons will not normally be entitled to a refund or alternative booking.
Where criminal damage or unlawful behaviour occurs, Battle Park reserves the right to involve the police and seek recovery of any associated costs.
15. Alcohol & Drugs
The safety of our visitors depends upon participants being able to follow instructions and act responsibly.
No participant may take part in any Battle Park activity whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Battle Park reserves the right to refuse participation where staff reasonably believe that a visitor is impaired by alcohol, illegal drugs or any other substance that may affect their judgement or ability to participate safely.
This includes the misuse of prescription medication where it significantly affects safe participation.
The decision of Battle Park staff is final.
No refunds or alternative bookings will normally be offered where participation is refused under this section.
16. Weather
Battle Park operates in most weather conditions, including rain.
Visitors should dress appropriately for the forecast and expect outdoor conditions typical of the British climate.
Activities will only be postponed, suspended or cancelled where weather conditions are considered unsafe.
Examples include, but are not limited to:

Lightning

Severe thunderstorms

Exceptionally high winds
-
Flooding
-
Fallen trees
-
Any other condition considered unsafe by Battle Park management
Where Battle Park cancels an activity due to severe weather or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control, affected visitors will be offered either:
-
An alternative booking date, subject to availability; or
-
A Battle Park Gift Voucher to the value of the original booking.
Battle Park cannot reimburse travel costs, accommodation costs or any other consequential expenses incurred as a result of weather-related cancellations.
17. Photography & Video
Battle Park may take photographs and video recordings during activities for promotional, marketing and social media purposes.
These images may be used on our website, social media channels, printed material and other promotional publications.
If you do not wish to appear in photographs or video recordings, please inform a member of staff when checking in. Where reasonably practicable, we will respect your wishes and take appropriate steps to avoid including you in promotional content.
Photography and filming by visitors for personal use is generally permitted provided it does not:

Interfere with the safe operation of activities;
-
Distract participants or instructors;
-
Obstruct activity areas; or
-
Infringe the privacy of other visitors.
Battle Park reserves the right to prohibit photography or filming where it is considered necessary for safety, privacy or operational reasons.
18. Spectators
Spectators are welcome to accompany participants and enjoy the atmosphere of Battle Park.
For everyone's safety, spectators must remain within designated viewing areas and comply with any instructions given by Battle Park staff.
Spectators are not permitted to enter activity areas unless specifically authorised by an instructor.
Parents or guardians accompanying younger participants remain responsible for supervising children who are not actively participating.
Please note that due to the nature of The Falconer's Archery Trail, spectators are generally unable to accompany participants around the course. However, where a participating adult is required to accompany a participant under the age of 18, they will form part of the booked activity rather than act as a spectator.
19. Respecting the Environment
Battle Park is located within a beautiful natural woodland setting, and we ask all visitors to help us protect and preserve it for future generations.
Visitors are requested to respect the surrounding environment by:

Remaining on designated paths and activity areas unless instructed otherwise by a member of staff.

Avoiding unnecessary disturbance to wildlife and natural habitats.
-
Refraining from damaging trees, plants, fences or other natural features.
-
Placing all litter in the bins provided or taking it home where appropriate.
-
Leaving the site as they would wish to find it.
Battle Park reserves the right to remove any visitor whose actions deliberately damage or threaten the natural environment.
20. Dogs
Well-behaved dogs are welcome at Battle Park.
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors, dogs must:

Be kept on a lead at all times.
-
Remain under the control of a responsible adult.
-
Be supervised by someone who is not actively participating in an activity.
-
Not enter designated activity areas unless specifically authorised by Battle Park staff.
Owners are responsible for the behaviour and welfare of their dogs throughout their visit.
All dog waste must be bagged and removed from the site or disposed of in the appropriate waste bins.
Owners may be asked to remove any dog displaying aggressive or disruptive behaviour.
Assistance dogs are welcome. If you require any assistance during your visit, please contact us before your booking so we can help make suitable arrangements.
21. Smoking & Vaping
To help protect our woodland environment and reduce the risk of fire, smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere within Battle Park.
This policy applies throughout the site, including activity areas, woodland trails, spectator areas and footpaths.
Visitors wishing to smoke or vape should do so before entering Battle Park or after leaving the site.
Failure to comply with this policy may result in visitors being asked to leave.
22. Personal Property
Visitors are responsible for the security of their own personal belongings.
Battle Park recommends that valuable items are left at home or securely locked inside your vehicle wherever possible.
Items brought onto the site remain entirely at the owner's risk.
Battle Park accepts no responsibility for the loss, theft or damage of personal belongings except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
23. Equipment & Damage
All equipment provided by Battle Park remains the property of Axes and Arrows Ltd.
Participants are expected to use all equipment responsibly and strictly in accordance with instructor guidance.
Equipment must not be altered, modified or used for any purpose other than that intended.
Any accidental damage should be reported immediately to a member of staff.
Where equipment, facilities or property are deliberately damaged through reckless or malicious behaviour, Battle Park reserves the right to seek recovery of the cost of repair or replacement.
Serious incidents involving criminal damage or theft may be reported to the police.
We simply ask all visitors to treat our equipment and facilities with the same respect they would expect when visiting any professionally operated attraction.
24. Parking & Site Access
Free parking is available within the designated Twisted Oaks Bike Park car parks.
Visitors park entirely at their own risk.
Battle Park accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to vehicles or their contents whilst parked on site.
Following check-in at the Twisted Oaks Reception Kiosk, visitors should follow the clearly signposted route to Battle Park.
The walk to Battle Park takes approximately five to six minutes and includes natural paths with varying gradients and uneven ground.
Visitors should take care whilst walking between the reception area and Battle Park, particularly during wet weather.
Emergency access routes must be kept clear at all times.
25. Lost Property
Any property found within Battle Park should be handed to a member of staff as soon as possible.
Battle Park will make every reasonable effort to reunite lost property with its owner.
Items not claimed within a reasonable period may be donated, recycled or otherwise disposed of at Battle Park's discretion.
Battle Park cannot accept responsibility for items that are lost, misplaced or left unattended.
26. Mobile Phones & Electronic Devices
Visitors are welcome to bring mobile phones, cameras and other personal electronic devices.
These items remain entirely the responsibility of their owner throughout the visit.
Photography and filming for personal use are permitted provided they do not compromise safety or interfere with the enjoyment of other visitors.
Battle Park accepts no responsibility for damage to electronic devices caused by weather conditions, accidental impact or normal participation in activities.
Visitors may be asked to stop using electronic devices where staff reasonably believe they are creating a distraction or safety concern.
27. Liability
Battle Park is committed to providing a safe environment through appropriate staff training, equipment maintenance, operational procedures and risk management.
Participation in outdoor adventure activities naturally involves a degree of inherent risk. By taking part, participants acknowledge these inherent risks and agree to follow all instructions provided by Battle Park staff to help minimise them.
Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits Battle Park's liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.
Subject to the above, Battle Park shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of enjoyment, loss of earnings or additional expenses arising from a booking, participation in activities or cancellation of an activity.
Visitors remain responsible for ensuring that they are physically capable of participating safely and for following all safety instructions throughout their visit.
28. Force Majeure
Battle Park shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to:

Severe weather.
-
Flooding.
-
Fire.
-
Natural disasters.
-
Acts of terrorism.
-
Civil unrest.
-
Industrial disputes.
-
Utility failures.
-
Government restrictions.
-
Public health emergencies.
-
Any other event outside the reasonable control of Battle Park.
Where activities cannot proceed due to a Force Majeure event, Battle Park will make every reasonable effort to offer an alternative booking date or a Battle Park Gift Voucher.
29. Privacy
Battle Park is committed to protecting your personal information.
Any personal data collected during the booking process or whilst visiting Battle Park will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
Information provided by visitors will only be used for legitimate business purposes, including managing bookings, communicating important information relating to your visit and complying with legal obligations.
Battle Park will never sell your personal information to third parties.

30. Changes to these Terms
Battle Park reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time where necessary.
Any changes will apply only to future bookings unless required by law.
The most up-to-date version will always be available on the Battle Park website.
Visitors are encouraged to review these Terms & Conditions before making a booking.
31. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
