Bookings
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. All activities at Battle Park must be booked in advance. This allows us to provide the best possible experience for every visitor by ensuring the appropriate resources and instructors are available, while also helping to minimise unnecessary vehicle movements to and from the site.
Can I book for just one person?
Absolutely. Whether you're visiting on your own, as a couple, with family or as part of a larger group, we'd love to welcome you.
Can I book multiple activities?
Yes. Many visitors choose to combine activities for the ultimate Battle Park experience. Take a look at our combo packages on the booking page for great value when booking multiple activities.
Can I book for birthdays, stag and hen parties or corporate events?
Yes. Battle Park is perfect for birthdays, celebrations, school groups, team-building events and other private group bookings.
Can I book for a group larger than the online booking system allows?
Yes. The minimum and maximum group sizes shown in our online booking system reflect the standard sessions available to book online. If you're planning a larger group, please get in touch with us using our Group Booking Enquiry Form. We'll be happy to discuss your requirements and, where possible, create a bespoke booking to suit your group.

Do I need any experience?
No previous experience is required. Every activity is suitable for complete beginners, and our experienced instructors will provide a full safety briefing and guidance before you begin.
Is all equipment provided?
Yes. We provide everything you'll need to take part safely, including all activity equipment and any required protective equipment.
How long do sessions last?
Most activities last approximately 60 minutes, although some activities, such as The Falconer's Archery Trail and extended Battle Archery sessions, may run for longer.
Which activity is best for beginners?
All of our activities are beginner-friendly. If you're unsure which experience is right for you, our Browse Activities page provides a quick comparison guide, or feel free to contact us for advice.
Age Requirements
What are the minimum ages?

-
Target Archery – 10+
-
Battle Archery – 10+
-
Axe Throwing – 12+
-
Spear Throwing – 12+
-
Falconer's Archery Trail – 12+
-
Crossbow Shooting – 16+
Some activities require participants under the age of 18 to be accompanied by a participating adult. Please refer to the individual activity page for specific requirements.
Accessibility
Are your activities wheelchair accessible?
Several of our activities are generally suitable for wheelchair users, while others may have limitations due to the nature of the activity or the terrain. Please refer to the accessibility information on each activity page or contact us to discuss your individual requirements.
I'm not sure whether an activity is suitable for me. What should I do?
Please get in touch before booking. We'll be happy to discuss your individual requirements and help you choose the activity that's best suited to you.
On the Day
Is there onsite parking?
Yes. Free parking is available in the Twisted Oaks car park. From there, Battle Park is approximately a 5–6 minute walk along a downhill path.
What do I do once I've arrived at Twisted Oaks?
Whether you've arrived by car, bicycle, on foot or by any other means of transport, please make your way to the Twisted Oaks kiosk in the main upper car park. This is where you'll check in for your session and receive your wristbands.
Once you've checked in, simply follow the clearly signposted path down to Battle Park. The walk takes around 5–6 minutes, and our team will be ready to welcome you on arrival.
What should I wear?
We recommend comfortable outdoor clothing and sensible footwear suitable for the weather. Some activities take place on natural terrain, so sturdy footwear is advised. Please note that all footwear must be closed-toe. Sandals, sliders and flip-flops are not permitted.. The Woodland Archery Trail can get quite boggy after a period of wet weather so waterproof boots are recommended for the most comfortable experience.
What happens if it rains?
Our activities continue in most weather conditions. We recommend dressing appropriately for the forecast. In the event of severe weather that could affect safety, we'll contact you as soon as possible.
Should I arrive early?
Yes. Please aim to arrive at the Twisted Oaks car park around 30 minutes before your session. This allows time to check in before making the 5–6 minute downhill walk to Battle Park.
Can spectators watch?
Yes. Spectators are welcome for most activities and are asked to remain within the designated viewing areas while following any instructions given by our instructors.
To help maintain a safe, enjoyable and peaceful environment for everyone, we encourage groups to bring only those who are taking part, together with any parents, guardians or accompanying adults who are required.
For participants under the age of 18, an adult may be required depending on the activity. The Woodland Archery Trail requires a participating adult to accompany any group that includes under 18s, while for our other activities an adult simply needs to accompany the group.
As the Woodland Archery Trail follows a route through the woodland, it is not visible from the main viewing area, so spectators are unfortunately unable to watch participants during the experience.
Safety
Are your activities safe?
Safety is our highest priority. Every activity is led by trained instructors and begins with a comprehensive safety briefing. All equipment is regularly inspected and maintained to ensure it is safe and fit for use.
Can I take part if I've been drinking alcohol?
No. For the safety of everyone involved, participants must not take part under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Anyone considered unfit to participate may be refused entry without a refund.
Can I bring my own equipment?
No. For safety and insurance reasons, all participants must use the equipment provided by Battle Park unless agreed in advance. Please do not bring any equipment such as bows, arrows, axes/knives or crossbows to the site. You may bring items such as Arm guards, finger tabs, waist hung quivers and head and face protection. All personal equipment but be approved by the Battle Park Instructor prior to the session.
Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major debit and credit cards through our secure online booking system. Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider. Battle Park does not have access to, or store, your payment details.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Please refer to our Booking Terms & Conditions for details of our cancellation and amendment policy.
